Dynamic super-cardioid miniature instrument microphone ideal for brass, drums, and woodwind.
Overview:
The e 608 has a newly developed clamp and goose-neck mounting, which enables the capsule to be positioned close to the signal source for high realism and high level output. Extensive damping and shock mounting isolates the capsule and signal from extraneous vibration, noise and impact. Humbucking coil protects against induced electrical interference. A high strength, reinforced glass-fiber casing protects the capsule from impact damage.
Features:
- Dynamic microphone with gooseneck
- Low sensitivity to structure-borne noise
- Extremely rugged fiberglass housing with tear-resistant cable (XLR connector)
- Simple handling and flexible positioning
- Hum compensating coil
- Highly effective shock mount
Dynamic Element: The supercardioid polar pattern is most effective at eliminating off-axis ambient sound that can cause feedback and residual noise. The dynamic element is capable of being placed in close proximity to excessively loud instruments without resulting in noise or distortion. The e 608’s rugged mount is designed for firm placement on instruments during lengthy performances.
Specialized for Wind/Percussion/Brass: The e 608 miniature dynamic microphone is specialized for capturing wind instruments, percussion, drums and brass instruments.
Miniature Profile: The miniature profile allows for inconspicuous placement during performances.
Supercardioid Polar Pattern: The supercardioid polar pattern is effective in rejecting off-axis signal and noise.
Adjustable Gooseneck: The adjustable gooseneck provides accurate positioning.
High SPL Handling: The dynamic element is capable of handling extreme sound pressure without noise and distortion.
